- How do I clean my Glass/Ceramic Cook Top Range?
- Always allow surface to cool before cleaning

- For light-to-normal soil, use Weiman Cook Top Daily Cleaner trigger spray or Weiman Cook Top Wipes to clean daily or after each use

- Clean up spills immediately – especially those that contain sugar because foods with high sugar content with penetrate the surface
- Do not allow residue to solidify on the surface
- Place only flat, smooth-bottomed items on the cook top to avoid scratching
- How do I shine my dull Cook Top?
Glass/ceramic smooth top ranges, or cook tops, are easy to care for with the right products and regular maintenance. All major cook top manufacturers recommend Weiman Cook Top Cleaners because they clean without scratching and leave the surface beautifully shiny. Common household cleaners can scratch your range, making it look dull and damaged. Weiman Cook Top Cleaners will not scratch and leave a protective layer that keeps your cook top looking new and sparkling clean, year after year.
- How do I remove burned on foods from my Cook Top?
First, try to remove the burned on food using Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner and Weiman Cook Top Scrubbing Pads. If the burned on food remains on the surface, apply Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner directly to the area and let it soak for 3-5 minutes or longer if required. As the solution penetrates the stain, it will loosen and dissolve the soil, making even the most stubborn burned on residue easy to remove with a Weiman Cook Top Scrubbing Pad.
- Should I use Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner on a conventional gas range?
No. Weiman Glass Cook Top Cleaner has gentle abrasives that are tested and safe for glass/ceramic smooth top ranges but may not be compatible with conventional range top surfaces. To clean conventional gas ranges, use Weiman Gas Range Cleaner & Degreaser.
- How do I clean Stainless Steel appliances?
- Use products that feature a blend of oil and silicones for ultimate shine and protection against fingerprints
- Use a high-quality, non-abrasive cleaner, like Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish or Weiman Stainless Steel Wipes, to regularly clean the surface
- After applying the cleaner, wipe in the direction of the natural metal grain to clean the microscopic grooves where dust and dirt gets trapped
- Clean the surface routinely, rather than in a single, aggressive session
- For hardened residue, soak the area with hot water for a few minutes to loosen the residue then clean with Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, powders, scouring pads and brushes that may scratch and damage stainless steel
- Avoid using glass cleaners, all-purpose cleaners, aggressive chemicals like chlorine, and hydrochloric acid, which is used in some cleaning agents and process liquids
- Use a paper towel or microfiber cloth to clean stainless steel
- After cleaning, buff with a soft, clean, dry cloth to remove any residue that may be left on the surface
- Make sure to completely dry the surface after cleaning to prevent spotting and streaking
- Use Weiman regularly for a brilliant, sparkling luster and streak-free shine
- Can Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish be used on flatware, utensils, cookware or other stainless steel surfaces which will be in contact with food?
No. It is not recommended to use Weiman Stainless Steel Care products on food contact surfaces. The general application for these products is for use on external, non-food surfaces like a stainless steel refrigerator door. If Weiman Stainless Steel products are used on surfaces where food may directly contact the surface – such as a stainless steel countertop – make sure to thoroughly clean the surface with dish soap and water before use.
- How do I clean Leather?
- To clean smooth, finished leather surfaces, use products that feature an emulsion blend of natural oils, like Weiman Leather Cleaner & Polish and Weiman Leather Wipes, to clean, condition and restore shine
- Clean and condition leather regularly to prevent it from drying out; Weiman Leather Wipes are perfect for quickly rejuvenating the surface
- To protect leather from harmful UV rays, use products that contain UVX-15 sunscreen to prevent drying, fading and, ultimately, cracking
- Avoid using cleaning fluid, shoe cream, saddle soap or mink oil which contain ingredients that may damage leather
- Always test cleaners in an inconspicuous use before applying to the surface
- Avoid spraying household fragrances near leather or applying hair sprays or perfumes while wearing leather
- Winter salt stains leather so wipe clean immediately and allow leather to air dry
- If leather becomes wet, it may temporarily appear discolored. Take a deep breath, then allow the surface to dry at room temperature
- Don’t ever put leather in the dryer or apply intense heat to the surface
- Be mindful of colors and dyes used in your leather. The manufacturer should provide directions on how to treat colored or dyed leather surfaces
- Leather furniture should be vacuumed regularly to remove lint and other residue that may cause discoloration
- For oil-based stains such as butter or grease, blot away excess soil with a clean, dry cloth. Do not wipe so as not to spread the stain. Consult the manufacturer or a professional for additional cleaning instructions
- Do not use Weiman Leather Care products on suede, nubuck, Natuzzi® brand or any unfinished leather surface
- Why does leather show dark spots after cleaning?
Over time, leather can develop dry, damaged or discolored areas that may appear darker. These variations and changes in the leather are a result of normal wear and tear and sun exposure. Darker spots after cleaning most likely means that the protective finish is deteriorating or has been removed by daily use (especially when it is most apparent in areas such as the head, legs and arm rests.) The spots should disappear on their own over time and should lessen in appearance as the item dries.
For quicker removal of spotting, a mild detergent and water solution can be used if approved by the manufacturer of the item. If spotting appears after using Weiman Leather Care products, discontinue use of the product as it may not be compatible with that particular leather. Always test on an inconspicuous area before use and follow manufacturer’s cleaning instructions.
- How do I clean, protect and shine granite countertops?
- Weiman Granite Care products, including Weiman Granite Cleaner & Polish and Weiman Granite Wipes, offer a blend of surfactants and solvents for optimal soil removal on sealed stone countertops
- Do not use ammonia-based cleaners like glass cleaner, high pH solutions, abrasive powders or soapy detergents that may dull and damage the surface
- Use pH neutral products, like Weiman, to clean granite. Beware of vinegar, lemon juice or any acidic solution that may cause irreversible damage like dulling and etching, the result of a chemical reaction between calcite and acid
- Blot and wipe up spills immediately to prevent staining
- Use coasters under glasses, particularly those containing alcohol or citrus-based beverages
- Do not place hot items directly on the stone surface. Use trivets or placemats under hot items and beneath objects that may scratch
- Always buff and dry granite after cleaning
- Use a granite polish to enhance the stone’s natural color and veining while restoring its glossy finish
- Call a professional stone supplier, installer or restoration specialist for problems that appear too difficult to treat. Consult a professional to remove or repair major cracks or scratches
- Sealed granite is not immune to staining. Consult a stone countertop professional to determine how often your countertop should be resealed.
- Can I use Weiman Granite Cleaner & Polish on stone surface countertops and engineered quartz countertops?

- Is Weiman Silver Polish tarnish-preventing?
Yes. Weiman Silver Polish contains a proprietary ingredient that delays the formation of tarnish and keeps silver shining longer. Despite best efforts to keep silver tarnish-free, tarnish is inevitable so silver should be polished regularly to maintain its shiny luster. Don’t ever use toothpaste to shine silver. Store silver in soft flannel bags (not plastic which can trap moisture). Lastly, use your silver and enjoy its beauty! Silver’s durability makes it a wonderful, timeless metal that will last for tens of hundreds of years with proper care.

- Can sunlight and ultraviolet rays damage my furniture?
Yes. Sunlight, or ultraviolet light, can damage leather and wood furniture. Weiman Furniture polishes, creams and oils (including Weiman Leather Cleaner & Polish, Weiman Leather Wipes, Weiman Furniture Wipes, Weiman Lemon Oil & Weiman Furniture Polishes) contain UVX-15 sunscreen to protect the finish – and the furniture - from drying out, fading and cracking.
- Can silicone harm my furniture?
Yes. Silicone may produce a high shine but can seep deep down into the pores of wood furniture and often cannot be removed. That’s why most manufacturers recommend polishes that do not contain silicone. Weiman Wood Care Products are made from natural oils. They do not contain silicone or wax, so there is never a build-up when using Weiman.
*NOTE: Many cleaning products do contain silicone, wax and alcohol. Be aware before applying these elements to fine wood furniture.

- Can I apply multiple coats of Weiman Floor Polish?
Yes. If a glossier shine is desired, additional coats of Weiman Floor Polish may be applied. Allow at least 45-60 minutes for the first coat to dry before applying additional coats.
