Tips & Information > Glass/Ceramic Cook Top Care

Smooth cooking surfaces appeal to many consumers because they are so easy to clean and maintain.

These simple instructions make maintenance and care fast and easy:

For normal-to-light soil
  • Clean cool surface with Weiman cleaning cream after each use. Rub a small amount onto the soiled area using a damp paper towel. Wipe until all soil and cream are removed.
  • Clean the cook top surface frequently to ensure a protective coating is applied to help prevent scratches and abrasions.
For heavy, burned-on soil
  • Apply a few drops of cleaning cream to the cool, soiled area. Use a Weiman® Cook Top Scrubbing Pad to rub cream onto the burned-on area. Buff clear with a paper towel.
  • Choose pots and pans that are flat on the bottom and large enough to cover the entire cooking zone used.
  • If cooking high-sugar mixtures, such as jelly or fudge, watch for spill overs, as permanent damage to the cook top surface may occur unless the spill immediately is removed.
For daily use
  • Keep a container of Weiman® Cook Top Quick Wipes nearby for a fast and effective clean-up of spills and stains as they happen.
